Our Stewardship Promise

At Veils of Grace, every gift is stewarded to honor our donors and bless brides in need. We prioritize donor intent, transparent reporting, strong internal controls, and secure processing so that resources reach the women we serve—safely, efficiently, and with dignity.

Stewardship Commitments

  • Purpose-Restricted Giving: We honor donor intent for restricted gifts. If a project becomes impracticable, we will consult the donor or allocate to a substantially similar purpose consistent with our mission.

  • Transparent Reporting: We publish annual summaries and, when available, audited financial statements and IRS Form 990.

  • Independent Oversight: Our Board of Directors oversees budgets, reviews financials, and enforces a Conflict-of-Interest Policy.

  • Secure Processing: Donations are processed by reputable payment partners using industry-standard encryption and security. We do not store full credit card numbers.

  • Internal Controls: Dual approvals for disbursements, documented procurement, segregation of duties, reconciliations, and periodic reviews or audits.

  • Anti-Fraud & Ethics: Zero tolerance for fraud, bribery, or misuse of funds. Concerns can be raised confidentially (see Whistleblower below).

  • Program Integrity: We work through trusted churches and community partners and verify distributions to protect beneficiary dignity and safety.

Use of Funds

  • Unrestricted Gifts: Directed where the need is greatest to advance the mission.

  • Restricted Gifts: Used for the designated program to the extent practicable. When needs are met or change, remaining funds may be redirected to a similar purpose aligned with donor intent.

  • Administrative & Fundraising Costs: We invest prudently in governance, staff, systems, and accountability to ensure long-term impact.

Receipts & Acknowledgments

  • Tax receipts are emailed after each donation when contact details are provided.

  • Consolidated annual receipts are available upon request.

  • Donors may opt to remain anonymous in public acknowledgments.

Refunds & Errors

If you made a donation in error or believe a duplicate transaction occurred, contact support@veilsofgrace.org promptly. We will review in good faith and, if approved, process refunds to the original payment method when feasible.

Partner Vetting & Procurement

  • Partner Vetting: We assess partners for mission alignment, governance, safeguarding, and financial controls.

  • Procurement Ethics: Competitive quotes when practical, conflict-of-interest checks, and documentation of selection criteria to ensure value and fairness.

Safeguarding Beneficiaries

We do not publish personally identifying details or images of brides without explicit consent. Stories and photos may be anonymized or shared with permission through partner organizations. Distributions are tracked and verified.

Whistleblower & Reporting Concerns

We encourage the good-faith reporting of concerns related to fraud, misuse of funds, safeguarding, or conflicts of interest. Reports can be sent to contact@veilsofgrace.org. Retaliation against good-faith reporters is prohibited.

Data Privacy

We protect donor information and do not sell or share personal data. See our Donor Privacy Policy on details on how we collect, use, and safeguard information.
